SEDA 03:19
about
Have you ever heard an album and you just think to yourself, “This needed to be put out there?” Seda’s debut album “The Four Letter Word” is an album that will be remembered for just something you need. One of the things that are expressed throughout this album is the passion and love for God. Like Theory Hazit says, “I am not a Christ-centered MC, Christ is in the center of me”, which is something that I love to see, for out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks (Matthew 12:34), and when Christ is in the center, this is what comes out.

When I first got the album, I didn’t pay too much attention to the title because I didn’t really get what it was there for. Then I would look at the title of the tracks as I played them on the Ipod and then I realized…every track is titled with a four letter word! Combined with the name “Seda” makes for something very special. What I found very refreshing is that the titles didn’t seem so forced to make things fit, and I’m not sure if Seda had the tracks first and then wrote the titles or did it vice versa, but it will make this album a sure classic.

Another thing I would like to point out is the distinct New York flavor that is in Seda’s flow and even in the choices of beats. In the recent round of artists to come forth in rap period, the South has been the forerunner, but I think New York is ready to make resurgence with the likes of Seda and many others, including Richie Righteous, J.A.Z., and others.

I found out that the majority of this album was produced by JahRock’n Productions, which is an interesting thing. Usually I am not one that is receptive to the use of one producer on the majority of the project, but by the time you are done with this album I feel that you will wonder what else this producer has put his hands on, because this was my first time hearing of him, but as you know in life you can probably be unfamiliar with someone who has been around for awhile.

The Lord has really laid something introspective for Seda to paint to the listener and the passion he has guides the power of the words and themes of tracks that are put forth.

The Four Letter Word is a showcase of not only New York talent rising again, but it showcases an artist who is passionate and in love with the God that he speaks about, and the Christ that resides in the center comes forth, and will cause many to be inspired and others to be introspective about what makes God so important, and delighted in by those who seek Him. As an independent artist, he has no labels backing him, which I think testifies to the work of God in the life of this artist and I hope that many will take note that one, Hip Hop in New York is alive in Christ and isn’t going away, and two, when God is the center in your life and your heart, your mouth will speak of the abundance that resides in it.

Track Name: HOPE
I'm so tired of runnin this block
Tryna hold my head duckin the cops
I'm a slave to change that's why I stay pumpin them rocks
yea I got a gun on me
I aint tryna get shot
So I guess I gotta shoot first
Anybody step out of line ill have em rollin out in a new hearse
I move first cuz I aint tryna lose first
but every step I takin kinda makes my mood worse
cuz I don't want my son to live his life the same
And my momma tellin me that her jesus is the way
And I feel like he's callin
but I'm in too deep and I wanna leave now before it all ends
*God if u real like I heard
Then tell me what to do cuz I'm tired of the curb
I'm Tired of the life, tired of myself
I wanna run away and I heard that u can help
So I come forth openly, touch me and help me see
I don't kno who I'm supposed to be, is there any hope for somebody like me? Please

I'm tied down and I can't breathe
these streets gonna take the best of me

They tell me that you bled for me
that your love was the recipe

I kno I don't deserve your peace
after all of my selfish deeds

I will die if u don't help me
Tell me is there any hope for me?

They say a womans worth is something unique
But My worth diminishes with every guy that I sleep
See I was abused that's a secret I keep
now the voices in my head say my future is bleak
Aint Nobody gon love me, thats what I believe
So I play the game of life, hopin ill receive
A good card, so I date guys with good cars
you got a benz? Then I can be ur friend
And if you got money then my love will never end
They only want my body aint no reason to pretend
I'm scared of getting sick, I don't want my life to end
But when I try stop I end up starting up again...
*God if u real like they say
Then i really need you to hear me while I pray
Im tired of the lust , tired of the games
And I don't want my son having to see me in a grave
So I come forth openly, touch me and help me see
Is there hope for a woman like me?
I wanna live my life brand new with no more sheets

I feel trapped and I can't breathe
Im so tired of the life I lead

They tell me that you bled for me
that your love can be my destiny

Cuz all that I can do is grieve
With all the heart breaks that ive received

Im gonna die if you don’t save me
I need your love now to come bathe me

Dear God I'm only 9 years old
I got a lot of friends but I feel all alone
My daddy sells drugs
My mommy sleeps around
Whenever I cry nobody hears the sound
Cuz all I see is pain
My momma said she gonna change
But it seems like everything jus stays the same
Yea she buys me clothes, gets me all the games
But shes never home and I need her to explain
Why my Dad is always in and out of the PEN
Why they not together why he on the streets with his friends
But shes too busy hangin out with different Men
I wish that everything could change for me before I turn 10
*God I kno you real, Grandma said
That if I ask u for a favor and believe you will let
My favor come true so now I ask
That you bring my mom home and let my Dad come back
I know that you can do all things
Touch me and let me see
Everything that you want for me
Teach me how to live like you so mom and dad could see , please

Their tied down and they can't see
Could you please give them air to breathe

I know that you bled so we
Could live our lives to our destiny

Cuz I don't wanna see them dead
I need my family free instead

Is there hope for a kid like me?
I'm on knees begging Jesus please
Track Name: LAMB
CHORUS

Worthy is the Lamb
Who took the for of man
To Save me was his plan
And I know that I can stand
Raise Your Hands
Praise his name
I can guarantee that you'll
Never be the same again
Track Name: FLOW (feat. K.O.T.I.J. Crew)
CHORUS

Everywhere We Go
We Represent The Holy Father When We Lyrically Flow

Everywhere We Be
The Holy Spirit, He is Riding With Me (2x)
Track Name: SAME
CHORUS

Sometimes I don’t feel like smiling
When the rain comes
Sometimes I feel weak from fighting
When the rain comes
Though at times I feel I'm sliding away
Your love will remain, You never change
Track Name: TRUE
CHORUS

oh Ive never known a love
to cast away my fears , your touch
can make me see those things above
that i cant see

since the day you came my way
that i could ever even say
